October was a great month. Kenzie is growing like crazy- she is running everywhere, dancing on demand and never without a hat on her head. She is in the 75% for height at her age. She was a cute little dog for fall fest.
We redecorated our office, came out pretty cool. Rachelle is a genius! I will get some pics up soon.

May has been a month full of first things. Kenz hit the park for the first time as well as the pool. We also took a Minnie road trip out to Murphy area for her great grandpas birthday party.

Seems like just yesterday we were at St Lukes hospital holding her for the first time. Time fly's and we are enjoying Kenz more and more each day. She started talking and saying mamma at like 14 days old but just started saying dadda like 2 days ago :) I just took her to the pool for the first time last week, I will post those pics soon. Thanks to our friend at Yan Photography.

So I can hardly believe my little girl is 1. Seems like yesterday we were living in the hospital(literally). Rachelle was a wonderful prego and handled 2 months of bed rest and multiple weekend stays in the er as good as anyone could have. We lived at my in laws the last 2 months of Kenzies solitary confinement and I had the pleasure of getting to know the living room couch quite well.
Looking back... it was well worth the drama, communal living and large dr bills to have Kenz join the team. Its amazing how much you love your own kids... I never thought it possible to feel this way about a little one. I am thoroughly enjoying fatherhood and I must add that Kenzie has thee most incredible mom on Earth. Happy Birthday Kenzington!

So Kenzie was stocked out of her mind to find the weather so nice the past few days. In her near 12 months of life she hasn't really had too may opportunities to get to know the sun. She got acquainted with the Big light in the sky Monday as we took her for a bike ride in her coach. She loved it! She said apart from staring at her dads rear end it was a blast :)
She was captivated by the outdoors, the birds, the fresh air, mom jogging next to her, mom stopping her ride every 37 seconds and asking if she was too cold or too hot, and by her dad saying, "she is FINE!" Altogether it was a kick.

So last night Krist Wilde and I played a series of games of ping pong. He has traditionally destroyed me but I have been playing like once a week for the past month or so- He hasn't... so we battled it out.
He beat me pretty good the first game, I won game 2 and 3(Glory be to God). Shane Grove told me to walk away and go to sleep a winner but Krist mentioned something about attacking me physically if I did. I played 2 more and lost both :( But it was a blast still. This video was a re-enactment of game 3.

I love being a dad. Kenzington is almost one year old! Thats just crazy.

We (by we I mean Rachelle) have began the birthday party plans- Which is super exciting... Not sure exactly what to expect for your 1st child's 1st birthday but knowing my wife it should be pretty spectacular. Mark your calenders friends!

R.I.P. Tamarack

So today I went up with the guys to Tamarack. Conditions were spring like; Really warm and sunny- The snow was heavy and wet... and it reminded me all to much of So-Cal Boarding.
Bad news is that Tamarack is closing Thursday this week... :(
They need someone to buy the resort.... Guess its only 264 million to take over. Anybody interested? Pray for em!

Last week we started our new sermon series entitled 'Lets Talk About Sex'. Its been cool seeing how teens and adults have been impacted by the series so far. I believe that the more education we get in the church the better equipped and prepared we will be in our everyday life in the world. I am so pumped to be apart of such a dynamic church that preaches and teaches the good news of the bible. The Puppy stage....

So Kenzie has reached the Puppy stage if you ask me. She is very interested in everything and is attracted to anything(Including plug in air fresheners). We dont currently have a dog, but Kenzie shares some puppy characteristics... Here's a few:
1- She poops more than she eats.
2- She Loves to roll.
3- She is still very dependent on mom.
4- She will bite you anytime your in range.
5- She is still learning what sound goes with what emotion.
6- She wont hesitate to go to the bathroom on your carpet if she is given the opportunity.
7- She barks at the cats in our back yard.
8- Number 7 is not true.

So this year for my birthday I received one of my favorite presents to date- A Stryper shirt. My brother got it for me.... It makes me laugh. I remember being like 4 or 5 years old and my dad coming home from work with this brand new TAPE. I remember grabbing the cassette and heading for the driveway to listen to this musical masterpiece in our Subaru wagon(Miss that car!Not really). At 5 years old I fell in love with a Christian Butt Rock band with its two hit songs: 'In God WE Trust' and off course, 'To Hell with the devil.' Anybody else remember this Band?
Oh and don't be surprised if you catch me rocking this shirt around town.

Honestly, Apart from Jesus and getting married to an angel in human form... Our daughter Kenzington has been the greatest joy of my life. She is 9 months old now and I have really enjoyed every second of it(Maybe not the extra late nights and Explosive diarrhea blowouts). I believe being a father and the gift of procreation is one of the greatest gifts entrusted to man. Just thought you might enjoy these pics!

Airplane drinks?

So I have finally decided after years of flying that something happens to me when and only when I am on an airplane. For some reason right as we reach the highlight of every flight...when the stewardess ask me what kind of beverage I would like(shortly after giving me the generously small bag of nuts)- whether its been weeks since my last flight or years.......Immediately I remember to order 'A can of Ginger ale!'
This might not sound all to out of the norm apart from the fact that I NEVER drink coffee or soda(fyi>NOT POP< Thats a music genre.) let alone ginger ale(apart from on airplanes). So I was wondering if this is common for anyone else or if this is just some strange disorder that has attached itself to me in airports? Do you have an airplane drink?

Last weekend I had a cool opportunity to support one of the young men I have been mentoring the past several years(Ben Evans). Last Saturday Ben officially started his career as a professional dirt bike racer in Anaheim California. About three years ago when I met Ben I told him if he ever made it to Anaheim 1(Equivalent to like the Super bowl) that I would be there for him. So three years latter I find myself in Angels stadium with 60,000 other fans cheering on number 350! We had a great trip. I spent a lot of time with Bens two brother Zack and Luke as well as his dad Dave and his nephew Garret Lee(The G Unit). Ben had a phenomenal day of racing- He was the only rookie to make the main event. Out of the top 60+ riders in the world Ben finished 9th overall.
He is one out of the many tremendously gifted young men that I have the privilege of pastoring on a daily basis. These are some of the young men I believe will shape our generation for Jesus and spread the Good news.

Christmas 2008

Christmas 2008 has been wonderful. Having at least three families to celebrate with makes it a busy holiday; But its definitely a lot of fun.

Our tradition is to spend Christmas eve eve with my mom and my step dad Ryan. We all(Rachelle, Kenzie my 2 brothers etc) stay the night at her house that night- We wake up in morn and open gifts.

Christmas eve we have my favorite service of the year(Christmas eve Candle light{REAL CANDLES THIS YEAR!!!} service). After service we go to Rachelle's parents house and eat Chili's Chicken Tortilla soup in a fresh bread bowl. We stay up pretty late and open gifts with all the fam. We wake up (when our bodies give the ok)and eat a really good brunch.... Then pack up to go to Christmas Celebration #3!

We head over to my dad's house on Christmas afternoon. This year all of us watched the Laker game together.... They won!!! Praise the Lord! Then hang out till evening.

Christmas has been especially fun and memorable with the edition of Kenzie this year. She is definitely the gift of a life time.

Kenzie Pants is over 8 Months old! I can hardly believe it. She has been thoroughly enjoying Christmas shopping and is pumped about her very first holiday season. Lately she has been enjoying warm December bubble baths, Rolling from her designated tummy time area clear out of bounds under the Christmas tree and spreading Christmas cheer by singing(Yelling) loud for all to hear.
She enjoyed her first family photo shoot last week... as she prepped for her first photo she was overwhelmed with excitement causing a river of white spit up to joyfully decorate her outfit.
I can already tell she is going to love Christmas! I love being a dad.

Okay... So I know we probably for sure have one thing in common: Love for Thanksgiving. There is just something special about getting away to your families house, gathering your tribe under one roof and eating enough food to feed Rhode Island.
I appreciate turkey meat of all colors, corn on the cob,green bean casserole, Mashed potato's and Multiple Gravies, Salad, Ham, Yam bake(marshmallows and yams-Glory!), Cranberry marshmallow salad(Heavenly), Olives, rolls on my butter(in that order), Gravy, gravy..what am I forgetting?
Oh and desert... Pumpkin pie of course! Plus my grandma Francey's famous homemade apple pie!!!
So after you have filled your body with enough food to hibernate for the winter you reach the highlight of November 27th... the FAT NAP. Fat nap in the Websters is defined by a picture of me bloated on the couch in front of the Tv(with Dallas Cowboy game on) in a semi conscious state- With my top button of my pants unbuckled and my belt dangling open with gut sagging off the couch halfway to the floor. A good fat nap will put 10 pounds on a man and thrust his waistline up 2 to 6 inches.

Thats my joy on November 27th. What do you Love about Thanksgiving?

So let the truth be told I am not a fan of doctor's offices or hospitals; However last night we found ourselves in the ER for 5hrs. It started with Kenzie waking up at about 11:30 Throwing up. I must admit that seeing your child(baby) sick and in pain is about the worst feeling I have ever experienced.

After throwing up about 5 times and a helpful conversation with a nurse named Lee we headed for the hospital--- Rachelle drove while I comforted Kenzie as she continued to dry heave and throw up.

We got checked in and placed in our room around midnight. The dr said she may have bladder infection so he wanted a urine sample... that required a catheter(I wanted to cry). The nurse hooked her up and Kenzie did pretty good.

Then nurse came back after some time and said there was protein in her urine. Long story made shorter after: Catheter, Unsuccessful blood draw, ankle blood draw+ I.V. and heel prick the diagnosis was a virus.

After an emotional roller coaster of wanting to cry for Kenzie, Choke the nurses and Chuck Norris Round house the Dr's we left with a new perspective on life. Regardless of what is happening in the world, who's in office or how good or bad our economy is doing...We are grateful and thankful for the simple things in life- Like good health. I guess the ER will do it to ya.

F0 < style="font-weight: bold;">Pee Diaper "Number 1"
F1 73-112 Moderate damage. Peels surface off roofs; mobile homes pushed off foundations or overturned; moving autos blown off roads. Pee Diaper accompanied by wet fart.

Kenzie Pants came down with a strange little virus today. She woke up around 5am and thru up pretty bad and was a bit fussy all day. It culminated around 6pm with two bad throw up on mom episodes(God love her). She seems to be doing better now as she is sleeping away. Throw a prayer up for Kenz after you read this- Will keep ya posted.

Night Ninja's....

So I never realized how much I appreciate sleep. I credit my 6 month old little girl for this new found appreciation. Seriously I have forgotten what it was like to: use my normal voice, walk flat footed and jump into bed at night- Rachelle says I am too loud... She gives me the classic "SHHH!!! Your going to wake up Kenzie!!!"I got to admit... I got a bad whisper voice- I am either loud or LOUDER.
So the last six months I find myself forced to develop my night ninja skills. However I am not to proud to admit that it comes much easier to Rachelle than to myself. She is a Samurai ... 4real! She is stealth- She can go into the nursery behind enemy lines, change the kenzie pants, plant her Paci in her mouth and make "the drop" into her crib without the slightest peep from the doll face.
Me on the other hand can wake Kenz up flicking a light switch on clear across the house or flushing the upstairs toilet. I don't get it.
Please pray that God would give me my wifes ninja annointing!

My morning started today with watching the pants. Changed her (Notice the leggings on her arms to guard from direct hand attacks and miss match socks- This is what she has to look foreward to when mom leaves)then I attempted to feed her rice cereal.... yeah...Its a learning curve.
When she started fighting back I retreated to my secret weapon- Baby Einstein! She loves it!!! Literally her face is glued to the screen... Her cereal cry turned into Einstein ease. Thank you Jesus 4 B E!
